General Electric – Project Eagle

As part of our ongoing collaboration and continuation of the GE culture-shift at their Greenville campus, the Senior Executive offices were moved from the manufacturing building into this newly created space in the research and development building dubbed the Tech Center. This new space would serve as a compliment to the Customer Center completed just 3 years prior.

While the move itself was important in communicating this renewed focus on research and development, so to was the design. The concept was centered around borrowing forms present, and processes used, when creating their products. As such, an overriding principle of precision and accuracy became paramount. This was critical in their design and production efforts and became a mantra in creating this space.

Shown here is a view of the main conference room looking from an informal gathering area dubbed the Break-out Space. There are two images side by side to demonstrate one of the highlighted technologies – privacy glass. With the flip of a switch, the all glass room becomes completely private.
